The Woes of Ferhat ...

There in the east is the Ferhat Mountain, and in the west the Kirklar Mountain; Yesilirmak River runs in between the two mountains, its green waters flowing delicately slow. On the slopes, the beautiful houses of Amasya are visible.

The city of Amasya is situated in the inner parts of Median Black sea region. It is surrounded with the provinces of Tokat in the east, Tokat and Yozgat in the south, Corum in the west and Samsun in the north.

The acreage of the Province of Amasya is 5.690 square metres.

The total length of the province border is 492 kilometers and has a border length of 169 kilometers with Samsun, 165 kilometers with Tokat, 6 kilometers with Yozgat and 152 kilometers with Corum.
